Self Reflection
This is my reflection for this semester on ICTs, literacy and Numeracy. I will discuss what I have learnt from this course in these three areas, what I find challenging and want to improve.

 ICTs
I did not know much about using computers before I started this course as I grew up in a place where there were no computers, mobile phones, electricity or any electrical appliances. When I first saw the tasks I thought I would never be able to complete them. However, it was a lot easier than I thought. I have learnt a lot through this course. These are some of the areas I developed in during this semester; using PowerPoint, using Excel, creating webpages, using HTML and many other minor skills.
I found the instructions on Moodle for each task really useful, I followed the steps provided with help from my wife. Google and YouTube became my new friends as most of the time they could answer my questions.
I would like to learn more about using Excel and creating online resources. I think all the ICT skills we learnt in this course will be very useful in making classroom resources and engaging students in the learning process.

Literacy
I hated spelling and grammar before I started this course, now I do not hate them as much as I did. When I did the exam in the beginning of this course, I had no idea what clauses and phrases were. However, I am quite confident with them after taking this course. The course also refreshed all other areas that I learnt previously. I think the lectures for this course gave very detailed information and practice about English grammar.
I still find spelling is a real challenge for me as I have never been exposed to some English words. I also need to improve my vocabulary as English is not my first language. I still make mistakes using prepositions, tenses and punctuations when writing English. I hope I can improve in these areas by practicing speaking, writing and reading English.
 Numeracy
Mathematics is one of the subject I enjoy learning, especially primary maths. However, when I did my pretest at the beginning of this semester, I did not do as well as I expected and I think the reason was there was not enough time for the mental math.
I found some of the lectures in this course were boring as I already understood most of the topics we did like long division, fractions, additions and subtraction. However, I found statistics the most challenging topic and would have liked to spend more time on it.

I enjoy learning and improving my skills in ICTs, Literacy and Numeracy. I have gained a lot of knowledge in these three areas through this course, especially in ICTs. I would like to keep improving the skills that I have gained.
